February 27th & The Tsunami

Many of you know the Hawaiian islands were under a Tsunami warning which was caused by the 8.8 earthquake off of Chile.  In the 20+ years that I have live here we have had several tsunami warnings, many of which are canceled within a few hours.  Having heard of the possible tsunami coming the night before, I really wasn't to  concerned.
I did have an 80 person wedding scheduled on the 27th on the south side, in Poipu.  The location was at the National Botanical Gardens across from Spouting Horn.  When my bride left me a message at 2:30 AM wondering what our back-up plan was...I turn on the TV to see what was happening.  The news said it was coming.  The emergency sirens were to sound at 6:00 AM with evacuations following until 9:30 AM at which time all coastal areas would be closed.  This meant Poipu.  I had no choice but to move the wedding to Sunday.
I am so thankful that everyone here  was so flexible.  We were able to reschedule everything.  The florist, caterers, photography, tent and lighting, DJ...
Fortunately nothing came of the Tsunami on Kauai.  So that was great.  I was so thankful there was no damage anywhere on any of the islands.  With the natural disaster over, my attention was focused on the wedding which was now to take place on Sunday, February 28th.  I am happy to say it went perfect.  The bride looked amazing and her wedding was beautiful.  Here are a few pictures that I have of the flowers, cake and the ceremony set-up.
