John and Mary Jo were married on the beach in Poipu. The chose Ho'ai beach, also known as baby's beach because it provided the best sunset on the south shore. They were fortunate to have some friends who own a condominium here and live here part of the time. The ceremony was preformed by Kahu Chuck and Kai'ulani preformed some beautiful Hawaiian music. Lots of tears were shed. I loved Mary Jo's dress. It was very elegant yet casual enough for the beach. Perfect for the beautiful sunset pictures that were taken...

Destination Wedding in Poipu Kauai
Tricia and Tim were married at the point in Poipu. They decided on a morning ceremony with a lunch to follow with all the family and friends that attended. Manulele preformed the ceremony and there wasn't a dry eye. They presented leis to their family and to their daughter...she looked so cute in her haku. I loved Tricia's bouquet. Great colors and flowers. The florist, Martin Roberts did an amazing job. Love his work...

Kauai Wedding at Waimea Plantation Cottages
Kim and Brad were married at Waimea Plantation Cottages, which is on the west side of the island. It's about a 2 hour drive for me, but I don't get to photograph on the west side very often, so I was looking forward to it. The couple had several family and friends attend the celebration, and it seemed like a tight knit group. Several of Brad's friends were from childhood and his dad shared how they all grew up together. Even though they don't all live near each other now, they still keep in touch. It was very sweet.
One of these childhood friends preformed the ceremony. Loved that he read it from his Ipad... (thanks for letting me check it out) They shared their vows under one of the great banyan trees that graces the property. And after we were all over taking pictures. I love the black sand beach that Waimea has. With Kim's beautiful and colorful dress and her white gerber daises in her bouquet, it was perfect.

Kauai Coast Wedding with Rebecca and David
Rebecca and David were married on the property at the Kauai Coast Resort in Kapa'a. They had the ceremony on lawn that overlooks the ocean. It was a beautiful ceremony preformed by Larry LaSota. The couple had family and friends travel from the mainland to be part of the celebration. The bride walked into Pachabel Canon, which was preformed by Paul Togioka of Random Generations.
I loved Rebecca's dress and we all loved what it cost. The pink sash tied in nicely with the bridesmaids dresses and the chair ties. We did pictures on the beach as well as throughout the property. After they all had dinner at the Hukilau Lanai which is at the Kauai Coast Resort. They have amazing food. I know it was yummy.

The Love Shack
So this post has nothing to do with weddings....but I had the opportunity to photograph the set-up of a corporate event that took place at Na Aina Kai gardens. Martin Roberts, http://www.martinroberts.com , who does all my bouquets and flower decor for my weddings put together this amazing event. The theme was the Love Shack. It had a fun, retro, 70's feel about it. I loved the wall behind the stage. Great stuff by some talented designers.
